FAQ — International Education Partners

Question 1

How does the initial consultation work?

Accepted Answer

Your first consultation with IEP is completely free and carries no obligation. We begin with a conversation to understand your academic background, goals, preferred destinations, and budget. Based on that, we outline the options that appear realistic and suitable for your profile. If you decide to proceed, we explain the next steps and any applicable service charges before anything is agreed.

Question 2

Which study destinations can students explore through IEP?

Accepted Answer

We currently support applications to universities in 12 countries: the United Kingdom, Hungary, Italy, Germany, France, Australia, Türkiye, the UAE, Malaysia, Cyprus, Sweden, and Finland. Our destination portfolio is reviewed regularly. If you are interested in a country not listed here, please enquire — we will advise on whether we can assist.

Question 3

Who is eligible to apply for overseas education through IEP?

Accepted Answer

Any student who has completed Matriculation (Grade 10) or above is welcome to enquire. Whether you are a fresh intermediate graduate, a bachelor's degree holder, or a working professional seeking postgraduate studies, we will assess your profile and advise on the options available to you.

Question 4

Can I apply if I have gaps in my academic record?

Accepted Answer

Academic gaps are not automatically disqualifying. Universities generally consider gaps if they are explained with a valid reason — such as health, family circumstances, or work experience. Our counsellors will help you present your profile honestly and effectively.

Question 5

What documents may be required for a university application?

Accepted Answer

Standard documents typically include: academic transcripts and certificates (Matric, Intermediate, Bachelor's where applicable), a valid passport, a Statement of Purpose (SOP), two or three recommendation letters, a CV or résumé, IELTS or TOEFL results where required, and passport-size photographs. Some universities may also request a portfolio, research proposal, or work experience letter. We provide a personalised document checklist for each application.

Question 6

Do I need IELTS or TOEFL to study abroad?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the country and university. Many universities in Hungary, Italy, Cyprus, Malaysia, and Türkiye offer English-taught programmes that accept students without IELTS if their prior education was in English — for example, O/A Levels or English-medium schooling. UK and Australian universities generally require IELTS 6.0–6.5 or equivalent. We will confirm the exact requirement for your chosen institution.

Question 7

Can students apply without IELTS or another English-language test?

Accepted Answer

In some cases, yes. Several universities in Europe and Asia accept a Medium of Instruction (MOI) certificate or O/A Level results as evidence of English proficiency. However, this is not universally available — it depends on the specific university and programme. We will identify whether an IELTS-free pathway is genuinely available for your chosen option and will not present an exemption as guaranteed.

Question 8

What IELTS score do I need?

Accepted Answer

Requirements vary by programme and university. Undergraduate programmes typically require IELTS 5.5–6.0; postgraduate programmes usually require 6.0–6.5. Some universities may require 6.5 or above. We will confirm the exact score requirement for each university you apply to.

Question 9

How are tuition fees and living costs estimated?

Accepted Answer

Cost estimates are based on publicly available information from universities and general living cost data for each destination. They are indicative only — actual fees and costs depend on the specific university, programme, city of study, and your personal lifestyle. Fees and living costs can change. We provide an updated cost overview during your consultation, and we strongly recommend confirming all figures directly with the relevant institution before making financial commitments.

Question 10

Are scholarships available for Pakistani students?

Accepted Answer

Scholarship opportunities exist in several of our destination countries. Hungary's Stipendium Hungaricum programme, for example, offers government-funded scholarships. Some Italian and Turkish universities offer merit-based tuition reductions. Scholarship availability, eligibility criteria, and application deadlines vary and change regularly. We will inform you of relevant opportunities during your consultation, but we cannot guarantee scholarship outcomes — those decisions rest with the awarding institution or government body.

Question 11

Can students work part-time while studying abroad?

Accepted Answer

Part-time work rights vary by country and visa type. EU countries generally permit international students to work up to 20 hours per week during term time. The UK allows up to 20 hours per week on a Student Visa. Australia permits up to 48 hours per fortnight. Malaysia and the UAE have more restricted work rights for students. Immigration rules can change — we advise students to verify current rules with the relevant authority and not to rely on part-time income as a primary funding source.

Question 12

What is the difference between admission assistance and visa guidance?

Accepted Answer

Admission assistance covers the process of applying to a university — preparing documents, submitting applications, and following up on offer letters. Visa guidance covers the separate process of applying to the relevant immigration authority for permission to enter and study in the destination country. These are two distinct processes with different requirements, timelines, and decision-makers. IEP provides guidance on both, but admission decisions rest with universities and visa decisions rest exclusively with the relevant immigration authority.

Question 13

Are admission or visa outcomes guaranteed?

Accepted Answer

No. Admission decisions are made by universities based on their own criteria, and visa decisions are made by the relevant immigration authority. IEP provides guidance and support to help you present the strongest possible application, but we cannot guarantee any admission or visa outcome. We will always be honest with you about your realistic prospects based on your profile.

Question 14

What financial proof is required for a student visa?

Accepted Answer

Most countries require evidence that you can cover your tuition fees and living expenses for at least the first year of study. This is typically demonstrated through bank statements, a bank certificate, or a sponsor's financial documents. The exact amount required varies by country and can change. We provide a financial requirement guide for each destination during your consultation.

Question 15

What happens if my visa is refused?

Accepted Answer

A visa refusal is not necessarily the end of your journey. We review the refusal reasons carefully and advise on whether reapplying, appealing, or exploring an alternative destination may be appropriate. We support you through this process with honest, professional guidance — but we cannot guarantee a different outcome on a subsequent application.

Question 16

What charges may apply to consultancy or documentation services?

Accepted Answer

Your initial consultation is free of charge. If you decide to proceed with our assistance, applicable service charges are explained clearly before any agreement is made. We do not charge upfront fees for consultations or initial applications. All charges are agreed in writing before they apply. We operate transparently — if a charge applies, we will tell you what it is, what it covers, and when it is due before you commit.
